Trasiego Wines, Pinot Noir "Red Quartz" 2023 Casablanca Valley, Chile

Founded by husband and wife team Vicente and Bernardita Johnson, Trasiego Wines champions underappreciated small South American vintners working unique terroirs. They empower small producers to grow wines the traditional way, paying fair prices for top quality fruit from distinctive sites. Red Quartz is a small production Pinot Noir from coastal mountain vineyards in Chile's Casablanca Valley, located just 14 miles from the Pacific Ocean.

Tasting Notes

This fresh and lively Pinot Noir opens with gentle notes of red plum, orange and herbs. The earthy palate brings together flavors of sandalwood, cranberries and raspberries followed by a touch of black pepper, with a light savory note lingering in the finish. An easy-drinking Pinot with a restrained nose and lightly structured palate featuring gentle acidity that drives stewed-berry flavors and grass through a brief finish.
