Thomas Farge represents the fourth generation of his family making wine in the Northern Rhône, bringing fresh innovation after a decade studying winemaking in South America before returning home in 2018. He has trained with legendary producers like Jean-Louis Chave and Stéphane Usseglio, combining traditional Rhône winemaking with modern biodynamic practices. This cuvée comes from a special vineyard plot adjacent to a 19th century castle in the Ardèche, representing the freshest and most fruit-forward expression of his domaine.
Tasting Notes
This medium-bodied Syrah showcases savory arugula-like qualities balanced with vibrant black fruit character. Fermented and aged for six months in concrete tanks, the wine maintains pure fruit expression while developing complexity on a granitic plateau terroir. Made with minimal intervention, using no sulfur until bottling, allowing the natural character of the vineyard to shine through. The wine offers a more approachable style of Northern Rhône Syrah with excellent freshness and minerality.
Pairs With
Aged sheep's milk cheeses, grilled lamb with herbs, charcuterie boards, roasted game birds
