Founded by Texas natives Clay and Brenda Coquerel in 2005, this family estate specializes in handcrafted wines from their Walnut Wash Vineyard in the shadows of the Mayacamas Mountains. Their "Terroir" label represents their estate-grown wines aged in French oak, embodying the elegant marriage of Napa Valley intensity with French winemaking tradition under the guidance of Bordeaux-trained winemaker Christine Barbe.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-purple and nearly opaque in color, this powerful Petite Sirah opens with an aromatic nose of spicy black pepper, ripe blackberry jam, dark cherry, and earthy mineral notes. The palate is creamy, dense, and moderately tannic with intense flavors of blackberry, boysenberry, dark plum, and a hint of dark chocolate. The wine finishes with spirited acidity, chewy tannins, and lingering notes of mocha and sweet baking spices.
Pairs With
