Founded in 2017 by Italian wine expert Gino Della Porta and renowned enologist Gian Luca Colombo, Sette represents a new generation of Piedmontese winemaking. Working organically on their 5.8-hectare hillside vineyard in Nizza Monferrato, they craft what Gino calls 'naked Barbera'—wines that express their unique terroir with minimal intervention. Their Barbera d'Asti comes from 20-40 year old vines grown on calcareous marls and sandstone, aged in concrete to preserve its vibrant energy and pure fruit expression.
Tasting Notes
A delightful bouquet of crushed strawberries, raspberries, and wild blackberries with hints of violets and dark cherry. On the palate, bright and energetic with red plum, tart cherries, and Barbera's signature mouth-watering acidity creating a lively, lifted experience. The wine finishes clean and fresh with subtle savory notes of dried basil, tomato leaf, and lavender. Light tannins and vibrant acidity make this immediately appealing and food-friendly.
