Tasting Notes

Deep garnet-purple in color, this wine explodes from the glass with vibrant aromas of crushed black currants, red currant jelly, black raspberries, and pencil shavings, complemented by notes of lilacs, dark chocolate, and spearmint. The full-bodied palate displays remarkable richness and concentration with ripe, fine-grained tannins framing layers of blackberry and black raspberry fruit, bay laurel, toasty oak spices, and refined tobacco notes. The wine finishes with tremendous length, showing chocolaty tannins, cedar wood spices, and exotic aromatics of coriander and cumin.
