Founded in 1860, Prosper Maufoux has been crafting exceptional wines for more than 160 years, housed in the historic Château de Saint-Aubin. Now owned by the Piffaut Family, whose winegrowing roots in Burgundy stretch back over two hundred years, the estate combines centuries of tradition with sustainable HVE Level 3 certified viticulture. The high-altitude vineyard location offers good diurnal temperature differences, leading to precise wines with exceptional balance.

Tasting Notes

This cool and delicately nuanced Pinot Noir is pale in color with bright red berry fruit plus forest floor character and a touch of spices, showing impressive concentration on the medium-bodied palate with silky tannins and well-integrated mineral acidity in the long, bright finish. Deep red color with good intensity, fresh on the palate with lots of ripe, juicy fruit and light spicy notes. A stylish and smooth expression showing fresh notes of wild red-berried fruits complemented by a delicate touch of rose.
