Founded in 1860 by notary-turned-winemaker Prosper Maufoux, this Burgundian estate in Santenay has a storied history of crafting terroir-driven wines in the heart of the southern Côte d'Or. Today led by Eric Piffaut's family and acclaimed winemaker Nadine Gublin, who made history as the first female "Winemaker of the Year" by France's leading wine magazine. This traditional-method Crémant represents the estate's dedication to excellence across all Burgundian appellations.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold in color with a fruity nose displaying notes of exotic fruits and citrus. The palate shows crisp acidity that soars through white-fruit flavors, with a light touch of texture that perfectly balances the freshness. Flavors of lemon zest and almond are underscored by subtle minerality, finishing clean and refreshing with delicate yeast complexity. The crémant finishes with pleasurable salinity and sweetness, showing a good balance of orchard and citrus fruit.
