The Pecchenino family has cultivated their high-altitude vineyards in Bossolasco at 700 meters above sea level, where the calcareous soils and cooler climate allow Riesling to find its maximum expression. First produced in 2018, this wine represents the winery's commitment to showcasing international varietals alongside their traditional Piedmontese wines. The fourth-generation family winery, now led by Orlando and Attilio Pecchenino with daughters Lisa, Gaia, and Sofia joining the business, continues to demonstrate their mastery of both traditional and innovative winemaking.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine displays a limpid, intense yellow color with greenish reflections, offering fruity hints reminiscent of pear and peach alongside floral scents of acacia flowers and hawthorn on the nose. On the palate, it shows softness and balance, with good acidity that provides length and persistence to the finish. After bottle aging, mineral notes develop, sometimes accentuated by the typical hydrocarbon scents that characterize the wine. The wine undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks followed by 10 months on fine lees with batonnage and 6 additional months in bottle before release.
Pairs With
Raw fish dishes and carpaccio, lightly seasoned cured meats, savory first courses, grilled white meat
