Founded by Ernesto Catena, a fourth-generation winemaker of Italian descent, Padrillos wines are inspired by his passion for horses and the wild spirit of Argentina's true varietals. With more than 30 retired polo ponies roaming his Mendoza vineyards, Catena transforms everything in his wine world into art, from growing grapes to making wine. This youthful, fruit-driven Malbec embodies the untamed essence of Argentina while maintaining vitality and freshness.

The nose reveals dark, brooding aromas of black currants, blueberries, and gentle perfumes of oregano and thyme. Dark berry fruits like blueberries, blackberries, and cassis follow through onto a smooth, rounded palate with bramble and tobacco notes. Floral notes of violets complement flavors of plums, cherries, and dried berries, finishing with hints of white pepper and a chocolaty finish.
