Mas d'en Gil is a 125-hectare estate that has been in the Rovira family's ownership since 1998, carrying on traditions begun decades earlier. Sourced from the Coma Vella vineyard, the oldest plot in the Vall de la Coma, with vines planted on old Licorella soils between 1965 and 1998. The 2018 was aged for 3 years before release, as Marta explains this wine says 'Welcome to the Priorat, with fruit and minerality.'
Tasting Notes
Fine aromas of matured red fruits, red berries, cassis and toasted notes, with a sweet spicy nose and mineral touch. Pleasant and warm entry on the palate, showing elegant earthy red fruits with well-integrated oak and round tannins. Bold style with raspberry, blueberry, dark chocolate and spicy liquorice with attractive juiciness and violet fragrance. Finishes long and will continue improving with age.
