Founded in 1910 by Oreste Lini, Lini 910 is a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated winery that has revolutionized Lambrusco production. The Lini family has been at the forefront of producing Lambrusco via the Champagne method since the 1970s, and this wine shows their expertise. Aged for 14 to 15 years on the lees, this exceptional Metodo Classico represents the pinnacle of traditional-method Lambrusco.
Tasting Notes
The 2007 Rosso Metodo Classico entices with a dark, complex bouquet of crushed black cherries, underbrush, rose petals and spice. Its silken, creamy feel is offset by zesty acidity, as ripe wild berries and fruits mix with tart citrus. This 100% Lambrusco di Salamino is radiant with ripe cherries mixed with savory herbs, sweet spices and blueberry tart aromas. The palate is rich yet light with an acidity that keeps the palate fresh. The wine finishes with complex notes of plums, dried herbs and violets.
