Founded in 1910 by Oreste Lini, Lini 910 is a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated winery that has produced some of Emilia's leading wines including the first-ever Lambrusco included in Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of Italy. Winemaker Fabio Lini, along with his sister Anita Lini, and his brother Massimo Lini, has set the benchmark for artisanal Lambrusco, and has remained true to his family's trademark dry style of Lambrusco. One of the keys to Lini 910's success is their steadfast belief that great Lambrusco takes time: The winery patiently ages all of its wines until they are ready to be released. As a result, the wines have brilliant aromas and flavors that set them apart from the crowd.
Tasting Notes
The NV Labrusca Rosso opens with a rich blend of exotic spices, crushed blackberries, lavender pastille and medicinal black cherry. More savory than sweet, it floods the palate with masses of tart red and blue fruits, intensified by a core of citrus-infused acidity. Nearly chewy through the finish, it leaves the mouth watering for more as a tinge of licorice lingers. Ruby red with notes of purple. Plum, blueberries and raspberry aromas with violet notes. Dry with quiet a body, intensely flavorful, just the right amount of acidity and gently tannic finish.
Pairs With
Prosciutto and charcuterie, pizza margherita, Parmigiano-Reggiano aged cheeses, barbecue dishes
