Founded in 1997 by Dan Kosta and Michael Browne, two friends who met working at a Santa Rosa restaurant and saved their tip money to make their first barrel of wine. Today under Head Winemaker Julien Howsepian, Kosta Browne has cemented its reputation as one of the world's most revered wineries, synonymous with crafting some of the finest Pinot Noir in California for over 25 years. This 2023 Russian River Valley expression brings together a dynamic selection of vineyards, including their Estate Series sites, Bootlegger's Hill and Treehouse Vineyard.

Tasting Notes

Ripe raspberry, dark cherry, and black fruit intertwine with fragrant hibiscus, floral notes, and a touch of vanilla. The palate unfolds with blackberry, blueberry, and plum, supported by vibrant acidity and polished tannins. Hints of cocoa add depth, leading to a warm, extended finish. Dazzling aromas of crystalline cherry, cranberry, cinnamon and tangerine zest highlight the nose, with concentrated cherry, cassis, purple flowers and cola spice that go on and on.

Pairs With

Duck breast with cherry reduction, grilled salmon with pinot noir reduction, roasted lamb with herbs, aged manchego cheese
