Kelley Fox established her small winery in Oregon's Willamette Valley in 2007 alongside her father. Deeply influenced by the late David Lett of Eyrie Vineyards, the iconoclast who pioneered Oregon wine in the 1960s, Fox has been making wine in Oregon for over 20 years with an emotional connection to Pinot Noir that produces magical wines.
Tasting Notes
Medium-dark, deep youthful red with blue undertones and brilliant transparency, the nose offers a heady mix of minerals, subtle spices, ripe strawberries, and other dark red berries and cherries. The mouth is juicy and classic Dundee Hills silky with forever strawberries that end in a long finish. Dense, layered, and complex aromas and flavors of black cherry, black raspberry, violets, vanilla, baking spice, and red earth, finishing on dark cherry fruits that are long and very satisfying, with a lifted, bright, chewy finale.
Pairs With
Pan-seared duck breast with cherry gastrique, wild mushroom risotto, grilled salmon with herbs, roasted leg of lamb
