Founded in 1798, Maison Jacquesson is one of Champagne's oldest independent houses, famously favored by Napoleon who awarded them a gold medal. Under brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet since 1974, the house has risen to prominence with high quality, slightly unconventional Champagnes. Their revolutionary "700 series" launched in 1999 celebrates each vintage's unique character rather than maintaining a consistent house style.
Tasting Notes
Aromatic profile with notes of fresh pear, citrus zest, and lightly toasted hints. On the palate: white fruits, citrus, and a hint of brioche, with aromas of wild berries, grapefruit, salted nuts and hints of ginger. It's dry and well structured on the palate, with bright acidity and tight bubbles. Boasts a linear intensity with coiled and nervous energy, finishing elegant and saline with long-lasting citrus-noted fruit.
Pairs With
Fresh shellfish with lemon, roasted white fish, creamy goat cheese, oysters on the half shell
