Domaine Guy Amiot is a 4th generation family-run winery begun in 1920, with generation after generation of the Amiot family plunging their roots in the soil and terroir of Chassagne-Montrachet. This emblematic white Chassagne cuvée is produced from about a dozen parcels with 50-year-old vines situated on the lower slopes with broad exposure from northeast to southwest, creating a balance of superior aromatic quality. Based in the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, this old vines wine shows generous fruit, mineral and raciness that we love in our Burgundy.

Tasting Notes

The wine is aromatic with pretty fruits of pear and apples offering a soft and subtle richness, superbly complex, showing hints of almond and elegant fruit, all built on a stoney-mineral foundation. Due to the rich soil of clay and limestone, this wine has an expressive nose of yellow fruits with a touch of vanilla, while the aromatic richness of the nose is reinforced by a creamy palate with fresh flavors of apples, pear, peaches, honey and almond. The vineyard site receives full morning sun, giving a freshness and a stony, mineral foundation to the wine. Light yellow with a refined, expressive nose blending lemony, menthol and toasted notes with wonderful minerality, the palate is full, fat and shows a silky attack - a Chassagne that is full yet ethereal with long-lasting aromas.
