Groundwork is winemaker Curt Schalchlin's second label under Sans Liege, focused on single varietal wines that embrace fundamentals and simple living of the Rhône. After 20 years crafting wines for Sans Liege, this entry-level line showcases Central Coast terroir with precision and accessibility. Hand-harvested from Kopack and Old Potrero Vineyards, this rosé represents the purest expression of Grenache in an elegant, food-friendly style.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of strawberry crème savers, peach white tea, and savory herbs with notes of flaky sea salt. The palate reveals bright pink lemon, golden kiwi, and ripe melon flavors. Delicate aromas of citrus and sweet green herbs lead to bright, mouthwatering flavors of tart red cherry, cantaloupe, blood orange and grapefruit, finished with fresh sage, thyme and cumin spice.
