The Masachs family has been elaborating cavas since 1880, belonging to the pioneers of cava production in Spain. Josep Masachs, S.A. is a family firm dedicated to the production of Cava using the Traditional Method, located in Torrelles de Foix, in the heart of the Cava and D.O. Penedés Region. Gran Sarao cavas are always disgorged prior to shipment to offer all the fruitiness and freshness to consumers.

Tasting Notes

Intense attractive red currant colour with bluish tonalities giving off light bubbles and a persistent crown. Touched by red fruit such as cherries and blackberries, with a background of plum and fig preserve and light evolution characters of yeast. In the mouth it maintains young, fruity, fresh, smooth and elegant overall. Notes of tart jammy strawberry and hints of orange peel buttressed by a distinct minerality and acidity.
