Cantina Girlan has been crafting exceptional wines since 1923 from their historic 16th-century farmhouse in the village of Girlan. Today, this renowned cooperative unites 200 passionate winegrowing families who farm 230 hectares across the most prestigious sites of Alto Adige. This quality-minded producer from the extreme north of Italy creates beautifully crafted and intense expressions of Chardonnay.

Tasting Notes

Crisp green apple and citrus aromas tickle the nose, while the palate is greeted with vibrant acidity and a core of ripe stone fruits. The wine's focused minerality, reminiscent of wet river stones, provides a solid backbone that carries through to the finish, where a pleasant combination of slate, white peach and baked apple essences linger. Aromas of peach blossom, freshly churned butter and almond nut over a smooth and supple mouthfeel. Freshness and light hints of white fruit and acacia match perfectly with oaky notes as well as butter and vanilla, providing long persistence, sapidity and texture.
