The Gini family has cultivated their vineyards in the Soave Classico region for centuries, with 25 hectares of prized hillside sites. From 70-year-old Garganega vines grown on volcanic and limestone soils, their Classico is tank fermented and aged on its lees for 6 months, adding layers of subtleties and complexities. As certified organic producers with biodynamic leanings, the Gini brothers craft pure expressions of Garganega that represent the finest tradition of Soave winemaking.
Tasting Notes
Golden-hued and medium-bodied, with white blossoms and delicate fruit on the nose – golden apple, pear, a tinge of ripe lemon – it features stony minerality, bright, refreshing acidity and lingering notes of honey. Tight and very lean, with green apple, bitter melon, lemon to a snappy, yeasty finish, while a tangy mineral note energizes creamy white peach, Meyer lemon and honeydew. Harmonious, elegant and persistent with almond notes and mineral character.
Pairs With
Raw oysters, spaghetti alle vongole, creamy seafood risotto, zesty shrimp ceviche
