Dugat-Py, Pinot Noir "Coeur de Roy" Tres Vieilles Vignes 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy, France

From the legendary Dugat-Py estate in Gevrey-Chambertin, this wine represents thirteen generations of winemaking excellence dating back to the 17th century. The Coeur de Roy combines grapes from three separate lieux-dits and the celebrated estate has been producing world-class wines for decades, with vines between 60 and 110 years old farmed organically since 2003 under Loïc Dugat-Py's stewardship.

Tasting Notes

Deep bouquet of peonies, wild berries, cherries and loamy soil, full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, endowed with real texture and mid-palate amplitude. Intense blackcurrant bouquet with notes of game and liquorice. Floral, dense and intensely coloured with violet and aniseed aromas, succulent tannins and intense blueberry and black cherry fruit. Strong, yet beautifully supple with remarkable aging potential.
