Founded in 2015 by winemaker Mauricio Ruiz Cantú, Dominio de las Abejas is a pioneering organic estate located at 2,200 feet elevation in the unique Valle de Ojos Negros. The winery takes its name - Domain of the Bees - from its commitment to biodiversity and sustainable farming practices on soils enriched by an ancient marshland. This skin-contact orange wine represents the new wave of Mexican natural winemaking, crafted with minimal intervention and wild fermentation to express the vineyard's distinctive terroir.
Tasting Notes
This captivating skin-contact wine displays a beautiful amber-orange hue with enticing aromas of dried apricot, orange zest, wildflowers, and subtle herbal undertones. The palate is bright yet textured, offering vibrant flavors of mandarin, nectarine, Asian pear, candied citrus peel, fig, and honeycomb with a touch of earthiness and gentle herbal spice. The wine's firm structure provides complexity while maintaining the grace and elegance of a white wine, finishing with bright acidity and a lingering citrus peel note that keeps it fresh and refreshing.
