This family-run domaine in the village of Échevronne was established by Jean-Michel Jacob's grandfather and has been crafting wines from 15 hectares of vineyards since the early 1990s. Under Jean-Michel's guidance, the estate transitioned from fruit farming to focus entirely on winemaking, developing a style that emphasizes elegance and finesse while respecting their high-altitude terroir in the hills above the Côte de Beaune. Though the domaine unfortunately closed in 2022 when Jean-Michel retired, these remaining bottles represent the culmination of decades of passionate winemaking.
Tasting Notes
The 2021 vintage displays beautiful aromas of raspberry, cherry, and watermelon with delicate floral notes. On the palate, it's fresh and crunchy with graceful acidity, soft silky tannins, and a hint of vanilla from careful oak aging. The wine shows typical Burgundian elegance with bright red fruit character, subtle earth and mineral undertones, and a clean, refreshing finish that invites another sip.
Food Pairings
Roasted chicken, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, soft cheeses
