One of Burgundy's most historic estates, owned by the d'Angerville family for over 200 years and now run by sixth-generation Guillaume d'Angerville alongside talented winemaker François Duvivier. Since their conversion to biodynamic farming in 2009, they have created graceful, balanced wines with what Guillaume describes as spherical freshness. The Frémiets vineyard is a 1.57-hectare parcel positioned just below their legendary Clos des Ducs monopole, producing wines of elegant muscularity that exemplify this domaine's signature style.

Tasting Notes

This refined Volnay opens with lovely aromas of sweet berry fruit, plums, orange rind, raw cocoa, and warming spices. Medium to full-bodied with bright minerality, it displays a firmer, more tightly wound profile than their more gourmand cuvées. The wine shows tremendous elegance with acidity and minerality forming a firm backbone, while fine-grained, ripe tannins provide structure without astringency. It concludes with a distinctive saline finish, showcasing the ethereal refinement that marks the 2019 vintage at this exceptional domaine.
