Founded in 1999 by Wells Guthrie and Kevin McQuown, Copain is known for its restrained and elegant winemaking style, now part of the Jackson Family Wines sustainability-focused portfolio. This exotic "Daybreak" blend showcases the diverse terroirs of Sonoma County through careful blending of six varieties, with Malvasia Bianca adding distinctive aromatic intensity. A wine that brilliantly makes the case for artisanal blending, capturing the bright, energetic spirit of coastal California.

Tasting Notes

Wild aromas of green tea, honey, ripe mango and lilikoi leap from the glass, with tropical fruit and rose petals dominating the nose thanks to Gewürztraminer and Malvasia Bianca. The palate is clean, refreshing and electrifying with bright flavors of pineapple, lychee, peach, pear, nectarine and guava, complemented by honeysuckle and citrus zest. Complex tropical fruit flavors carry through to a clean, very long finish with good acidity and a touch of roundness.

Pairs With

Scallop ceviche, crudo, spicy curry dishes, grilled seafood
