Château du Cèdre is widely regarded as the leading estate in Cahors.
Tasting Notes
A balanced, dense and flavorful malbec with plums, dried herbs and baking spices on the nose. Medium-bodied with chalky tannins and fresh acidity. Pulpy and vivid, with a crisp character at the center. Peppery and driven, with a persistent finish. The 2022 Cahors du Cèdre is dark-fruited yet lifted, offering black cherry, dried herbs, graphite, and subtle spice, all carried by firm, chalky tannins that feel architectural rather than aggressive. This visually striking, inky-black wine reveals a medley of blueberry and passion fruit flavors, supported by a spicy backbone and savory notes from the Malbec in a medium to full-bodied wine with firm tannic structure.
Pairs With
