Founded in 1843 by Edmond Besserat, this legendary Champagne house created the iconic Cuvée des Moines in 1930, establishing a reputation for exceptional finesse and elegance. Housed in a stunning 18th-century bottle design, this wine embodies the house's signature style of combining power with refinement. The unique crémant method creates Champagne with 30% finer bubbles and an impossibly creamy mousse that has captivated wine lovers for nearly a century.

Tasting Notes

A luminous straw-yellow wine with copper highlights and exceptionally fine, persistent bubbles. The nose opens with elegant aromas of linden flower, hazelnut, and mirabelle plum, complemented by notes of citrus blossom and white peach. On the palate, the wine displays remarkable balance with flavors of Meyer lemon, wet stone, brioche, and nectarine, while maintaining a creamy, silky texture. The finish is long and mineral-driven with touches of bitter lemon and chalky salinity.

Food Pairings

Fresh oysters and shellfish, grilled Dover sole with lemon butter, smoked salmon canapés, creamy goat cheese
