Marco de Grazia, the visionary behind Tenuta delle Terre Nere, famously declared Etna to be 'the Burgundy of the Mediterranean' when he founded this benchmark estate in 2002. His pioneering spirit and determination helped put Sicily on the fine wine map alongside its more northerly rivals. Crafted from organically grown Nerello Mascalese grapes harvested from 25-60 year old vines across the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, this rosato embodies the unique terroir of Sicily's most celebrated wine region.

Tasting Notes

The 2024 Etna Rosato opens with lavender, hay, wild herb and yellow stone fruit aromas. Full of flavor and finesse, the tangy palate offers yellow peach, honeydew melon, pomegranate and orange rind alongside racy acidity. A saline note lends a tangy finish. Complex, very floral and slightly smoky, this shows leesy character and a well-packed palate with medium body, silky texture and weight, finishing with smoky, mineral notes.
