Founded in 1979 by Heinz Eifel in the heart of the Mosel Valley, this family winery has deep roots in German viticulture, with his daughter Anne Eifel-Spohr serving as chief winemaker after earning her oenology diploma from Geisenheim University. Working with select growers under exacting standards, all wines are tasted and blended by a committee of oenologists and sommeliers. Their philosophy centers on the belief that producing top quality German Riesling is more than just science—it is an art.

Tasting Notes

This Beerenauslese displays honeyed stone fruit with honeysuckle in both the nose and palate, where apricot emerges as the predominant fruit character. The wine has a thick and almost chewy texture that gives rise to a long, ever-lasting finish. Additional aromas include honey, apricot and stone fruit preserves, with flavors of honeysuckle, lavender, apricots, and floral notes of daffodils. The wine shines with a beautiful golden hue and offers lusciously sweet, deeply complex layers of ripe fruit balanced by elegant acidity.

Pairs With

apricot tart, pineapple upside down cake, rich cheeses, foie gras
