From the legendary Domaine Boingnères, widely considered the benchmark of Bas-Armagnac, comes this exceptional blend aged 5-10 years in traditional 420-liter oak casks. Run by Martine Lafitte, descendant of the family that acquired the estate in 1807, this domaine is renowned for producing the finest expressions of noble varieties from the tawny sandy soils of Le Frêche. Bottled at cask strength in the traditional manner, this is an Armagnac for true connoisseurs.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of melted marshmallow and orange zest rise from the glass, complemented by rich fruit and new wood. The palate delivers loads of creamy fruit with dried apricot, cocoa, and coffee notes, supported by green, stemmy tannins that add complexity. The finish is long and warming, featuring mocha and orange peel with spice notes of cinnamon and clove. At 48% ABV, this cask-strength spirit maintains its absolute purity and power.
Food Pairings
Dark chocolate desserts, aged Roquefort cheese, coffee-rubbed duck breast, crème brûlée
